By providing various business processes, the standard software Tax-Connect supports the required procedures and notifications being associated with the notifications of contributions to the tax authorities as stipulated in the Citizens Relief Act. These are divided in three main categories.
• Procurement and administration of the required consent by the insured persons for electronic transmission (mainly Data Protection Act)
• Procurement and administration of an unequivocal tax ID number
• Generation and editing of contribution notifications for the ZfA (Central supplement authority for retirement assets)
The business processes included in Tax-Connect are based on the corresponding wording of the law, regulations, and ZfA reference manuals.
The Citizens Relief Act stipulates the deductibility of contributions to the private health and nursing care insurance from income tax. This means new requirements to the core systems of private health insurance companies. Among other things, it is intended to enable the electronic transmission of deductible contributions from the insurance companies to the tax authorities – the Federal Central Tax Office (Bundeszentralamt für Steuern – BZSt), indicating the tax ID number. For this electronic transmission, innovas and COR&FJA jointly offer Tax-Connect as a standard solution. For further modification requirements in the core segments, like, for example, the calculation of the deductible amount based on actual contributions, innovas offers consulting services. We will be glad to impart our experience in implementing legal requirements in the standard software innovas insurance suite.
Tax-Connect is implemented in a flexible multi-tier-client/server architecture. The layer architecture (client, dialogue server, application server, database server) supports different access paths via the intranet or the Internet. Via Java API the (stateless) services of business logic can be called up.
Tax-Connect addresses the private health insurance market.
